The Institute of Education Sciences is excited to announce a new funding opportunity for Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) and their partners to create innovative new training programs that promote diversity and prepare underrepresented students for doctoral study in education research.
- The goal of the new Pathways to the Education Sciences Research Training Program (Pathways Training Program) is to provide undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, and masters students (especially underrepresented students) with an introduction to education research and scientific methods, meaningful opportunities to participate in education research studies, and professional development and mentoring that leads to doctoral study.
- For FY16, the Institute intends to award up to 4 Pathways Training grants to minority-serving institutions (MSIs) and other institutions of higher education in partnership with MSIs. Awards will be for a maximum of 5 years and $1,200,000.
